About Dave Kero

Hi, I'm Dave Kero.

Music is my passion — it has been since I was a kid. When I was 11 or 12 years old, I heard my first guitar solo and almost fell to the ground. My friend asked, "Are you okay?" I said, "Can't you feel that?"

In that moment, I felt electricity rush through my whole body. That desire — that feeling — told me what I wanted to do for the rest of my life: music. I’ve never stopped feeling that pure passion — to play, to perform, and to help others play music too.

When I was 21, I went to a psychic who told me, "You're meant to be channelling cards." But I knew deep down: I was meant to channel music.

And here we are — using music to heal.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 35 years — in bands, duos, and solo gigs — building a following through performances both nationally and internationally.

I’ve landed endorsements from well-known brands such as Elixir Strings and Dava Picks. DKM is proudly based in Sandgate, Brisbane.

I teach students of all skill levels, and my lessons are tailored to you — to help you succeed on your musical journey.

As a guitar specialist and consultant, he has developed deep industry expertise, becoming an Elixir Strings endorsee. His musical accomplishments include being featured in The Chermside Guide, winning the 2014 Battle of the Bands, and contributing as a sought-after session recording artist.
